Cresta users with either the Global Admin or User Admin roles can set or reset a user's password from Org Management for the users they have access to.
- Cresta passwords must be at least 8 characters long, and contain a number, a symbol (!@#$%^&*), and a lowercase and uppercase character; otherwise, it won't save. Learn more about configuring a secure password here.
- The process outlined below does not apply to organizations with SSO configured.
How to reset passwords as an Admin
- Visit login.cresta.com to sign into Cresta Director using your normal process.
- Click Org Management under the Admin section.
- Click on a specific User to open the user details side panel.
- In the Password field, enter a new password.
- Click Save.
How to reset passwords as an end user:
1. Access Cresta Director via the Agent Portal widget.
2. Click your username in the top right corner of the screen and select Profile.
3. Click the Edit icon beside the password.
4. In the password popup, enter the following:

- Your current password
- New password
- Verify new password
5. Click Save.
Requesting that users reset their passwords as an Admin
When enabled, Cresta users with Global Admin or User Admin permissions can flag certain users that must reset their Cresta password. This feature is especially useful when passwords are identified in security breaches, as organizations can then force impacted users to change their passwords.
How to flag a password to be reset (Global or User Admin):
- Visit the Org Management page in Director.
- Click on the name of the user that requires a password reset.
- Click the Request password change box.
- Click Save.
How to change a required password (end-user):
- When logging into Cresta, the following screen will appear:
- Input the current password, the new password, then the new password again.
- Click Update.
